Obituary of Rita Giannaula

Rita (Stephano) Giannaula, age 77, of Pompton Lakes died Sunday, November 2, 2003 at the Atruim At Wayne. Mrs. Giannaula was born February 3, 1926 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late Peter and the late Claudine (Porta) Stephano. She lived in Elmwood Park before moving to Pompton Lakes She was a Switch Board operator employed by NJ Bell Paterson, NJ for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Riverside Veterans Womens Auxillary & Lesiure Club and the Deborah Heart & Lung Association. She was a parishioner of St. Marys RC church, Pompton Lakes. She is survived by one daughter: Nancy Giannaula of Pompton Lakes, NJ, a sister: Ruth Becker of Waldwick, NJ, a cousin, Wilbur Porta of Bloomingdale, NJ and many nieces and nephews. , She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony of 50 years, on June 16, 2000 , a sister: Margaret Nichols, and a brother: Vincent Stephano. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00AM at St. James Of The Marches R.C. Church, 410 Totowa Rd., Totowa where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Fr. Paul Iovino. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
