Obituary of Joan T. Nelson

Joan T. (Dannic) Nelson, age 77, of West Milford died Sunday, October 12, 2003 at Hospice Of New Jersey, Wayne. Mrs. Nelson was born September 6, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Edward and the late Rita (VanVliet) Dannic. She lived in Ringwood for 47 years and wintered in Barefoot Bay, Fl before moving to West Milford 6 years ago. Mrs. Nelson was a Lunch Mom at DePaul High School for many years. She was a member the Ringwood Bridge Club. She attended St Catherines RC Church in Ringwood where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society . More recently, she attended Our lady Queen of Peace in West Milford. She is survived by her husband: Bert Nelson, three daughters: Jacque Weiss of Ridgewood, NJ, Pennie DeVore of West Milford, NJ, and Candy Nelson of Linclon Park, NJ, two brothers: Joseph Dannic of Barefoot Bay, FL, and Robert Dannic of Brooklyn, NY. 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Andthyia, Kyle And Jarrett She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:00PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne with Fr. William Scully officiating.
