Obituary of Bertha Veprek

Bertha (Ratay) Veprek, age 99, of Wayne died Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at Llanfair House, Wayne. Mrs. Veprek was born April 22, 1904 in Union City, NJ the daughter of the late John and the late Josephine (Perina) Ratay. She lived in South Hackensack and Point Pleasant before moving to Wayne in 1995. She was employed as an Elevator Operator by Peoples Trust in Hackensack,NJ before retiring. Mrs. Veprek was a member of Gloria Sears Seniors of Point Pleasant. She is survived by a Grandson, John and his wife Mary Ramsden of Wayne, NJ, a granddaughter, Linda A. and her husband Robert Romano of North Arlington, NJ, and 3 great grandchildren; Nicole, Samantha & Christopher . She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1981,a son, Kenneth Veprek in 1991, adaughter, Lorraine Dorothy Ramsden in 1997, and a grandson, David Ramsden in 2003. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Friday at 9 AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, Wayne with Rev. James Brassard officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
