Obituary of James H. Anthony Sr.

James H. Anthony, Sr., age 76, of Lincoln Park died Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Hospice Of New Jersey, Wayne. Mr. Anthony was born May 29, 1926 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Stanley and the late Catherine (Lyttle) Anthony. He served in the Navy from 1943 to 1945 during World War II and received the American Area Ribbon, European-African Middle Eastern Area Ribbon and the Asiatic-Pacific Area Ribbon. He was employed as a Stationery Fireman by Allied Textiles , Paterson,for many years before retiring.Mr. Anthony was a member of Textile Workers Local # 1733, Paterson and St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church, Paterson. His wife the former Marion [Hoetger] predeceased him in 1968. He is survived by four daughters: Marion Luzzi of Little Falls, NJ, Diane McCroy of Lincoln Park, NJ, Kate Saccal of Totowa, NJ, and Jami Mahon of Highland Lakes, NJ, two sons: James H. Anthony, Jr. of Lincoln Park, NJ, and Stanley of Highland Lakes, NJ, five sisters: Katherine Cioppi of Lincoln Park, NJ, Laura Mawson of Lincoln Park, NJ, Bertha Reid of Sparta, NJ, Irene Stage of CA, and Annamae Slawson of Lincoln Park, NJ, four brothers: Stanley of NY, Edward of TX, Richard of Hackettstown, NJ, Dennis And Joseph of PA, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30AM at St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Fr. Jack Hanley. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa . Memorials may be made to Mt.
