Obituary of Edward F. Cooper Sr.

Edward F. Cooper, Sr., age 96, of Wayne died Monday, April 21, 2003 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Cooper was born March 24, 1907 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Othello E. and the late Bertha (Mesick) Cooper. He lived in Paterson, Pompton Plains and Naples, FL.before moving to Wayne 3 years ago. He was a typesetter and retired from At Anthonys Guild , Paterson,NJ in 1975 after 30 years. Mr. Cooper attended the 1st Baptist Church of Lely, Naples, FL and more recently, Calvary Gospel Church, Wayne. His 1st wife Ada Mae ( Basserman) predeceased him in 1949. He is survived by his wife Marion Hoeffner of Wayne, three sons: Edward,Jr. of Passaic Park, Richard of Hewitt, and Thomas of Wayne, 4 grandchildren: Thomas,Ryan, Heather & Adam and 2 great grandchildren: Donovan & Ariel. The funeral service will be Thursday at 8:00 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne with Rev. Larry Ross officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 7-8:00PM Before The Service at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ.
