Obituary of John G. O´Flaherty

John G. OFlaherty, age 66, of Wayne died Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at home. Mr. OFlaherty was born June 23, 1936 in the Aran Islands, County Galway, Ireland, the son of the late Daniel and the late Catherine (Mullen) OFlaherty. He lived in Wayne the last 35 years. He was a retired Sandhog with Compressed Air & Tunnel Workers Union Local # 147 NY,NY , working there from 1961 2002. Mr. OFlaherty was a member of Our Lady Of The Valley R. C. Church, Wayne. He is survived by his wife the former Nancy ( O Brien ) of Wayne, three daughters: Niamh O Flaherty of Hoboken, NJ, Deirdre O Flaherty of Wayne, NJ, and Nessa Mulligan of Wayne, NJ, one son: James of Paterson, NJ, one sister: Maura O'Flaherty of Ireland, Three brothers: Padraig, Donal and Ronan O'Flaherty all of Ireland, and a granddaughter. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 7-9PM and Friday from 3-5 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:15 AM at Our Lady Of The Valley R. C. Church, 620 Valley Rd., Wayne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Msgr. James O'Rorke. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
