Obituary of Samuel W. Terhune

Samuel W. Terhune, age 73, of Pompton Lakes died Friday, February 28, 2003 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown. Mr. Terhune was born June 16, 1929 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Samuel and the late Agnes (Strohmeyer) Terhune. He married Evelyn Lucietto on February 18, 1951. They lived in Paterson until moving to Pompton Lakes in 1961. He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Terhune retired from the Maintenace Department at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock after 20 years in 1995. Before that he was a foreman with Associated Pencil Co., Towaco. Mr. Terhune was a member of Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post # 2906, Pompton Lakes, NJ He is survived by his wife the former Evelyn ( Lucietto), a daughter: Debbie Morse of Pompton Plains, NJ, and a son: Sam, Jr. of Pompton Lakes, and 4 grandchildren. Visiting hours will be Monday, March 3, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Tuesday morning at 10:00AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, with Rev. James Brassard officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
