Obituary of Georgette Kauefati
Georgette (Davian) Kauefati, age 70, of Oakland died Sunday, February 16, 2003 at Hospice Of New Jersey, Wayne after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Mrs. Kauefati was born April 23, 1932 in Damascus, Syria, the daughter of the late Dikran and the late Mary (Housrey) Davian. She was one of four children. She came to the US in 1969 in hope of a prosperous future for herself and family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother (Sito). She will always be remembered for her strong will for life, her loving and warm smile, her generosity and her incredible love for her friends, family and God.
Her husband Adel predeceased her in 1975.
She is survived by two sons: Richard and his wife Marilyn Kouefati of Wayne and Fred and his wife Grace Kouefati of Pompton Lakes, two daughters: Mae and her husband George Bazo of Clifton, and Chada and her husband Ronald Ippolito of Jackson, two sisters: Antoinette Boozbali and Jannette Korkamaz both of Lebanon, one brother: Antoine Douaji of Syria.and eleven grandchildren : Andre`, Renee, Michael, Fred, Ricky, Stephen, Danielle, Kristen, Jacklyn, Michele and granddaughter Melissa And Her Husband Andre` Narveaz
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Armenian Catholic Church, 155 Longhill Rd. Little Falls where a Mass will be celebrated by Fr. George. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She will be in our hearts forever.
