Obituary of Thelma F. Courtney

Thelma F. (Bennett) Courtney, age 79, of Wayne died Saturday, January 11, 2003 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mrs. Courtney was born April 1, 1923 in Juniata, PA the daughter of the late Alexander Erskine and the late Ethel (Shank) Bennett. Before moving to Wayne she lived in Jersey City. She was a registered nurse employed by Margaret Hague Hospital Jersey City, NJ for many years before retiring. Mrs. Courtney was a former member of St Aeden RC Church, Jersey City,NJ and the Wayne Senior Citzens. She is predeceased by her husband William Leo ( 1997) and a son William Leo, Jr. ( 1992). She is survived by two daughters: Eileen and her husband Tom Zappia of Kinnelon, NJ, Judith and her husband Pete Sidlouski of Woodstock, GA, one son: James and his wife Joan Courtney of Boise, ID, four sisters: Doris Chapman of Lancaster, MA, Jane Atkinson of Washington, DC, Ethel Ruth White of Altoona, FL, Marilyn Carpenter of Riverdale, MD, two brothers: George William Bennett of Mt Airy, MD,and David Bennett of Penn Valley, CA 3 grandsons, Thomas Zappia,Jr.and Jeffrey And Eric Sidlouski Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpk., Wayne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Fr. Phil LeBeau. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington,NJ. Memorials may be made to Your Favorite Charity
