Obituary of Andrew R. Velez

Andrew R. Velez, age 56, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at home. Mr. Velez was born November 16, 1955 in Bronx, NY the son of the late Andres and the late Alicia (Luquis) Velez. He moved to Paterson in 1973 and lived there until moving to Totowa one year ago. He was a Catholic priest for 15 years in the Diocese of Paterson, serving in Dover, Paterson and Morristown. Mr. Velez is survived by his wife Giuliana (Acevedo) Velez; his brothers Orlando, Rolando, and Hiram, his sister Virgin Cueto and his nephew, Brandon Adam Velez. He was predeceased by his brother, Edgardo in 2005. There will be a private cremation. Memorial donations in Mr. Velez's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
