Obituary of Helen Catherine Milsop
Helen Catherine (Davies) Milsop, age 95, died Sunday, December 1, 2002 at The House of The Good Shepard, Hackettstown.
Mrs. Milsop was born March 8, 1907 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late John and the late Mary (Vreeland) Davies. She lived in Paterson and West Paterson before moving to Hackettstown. Her husband George A. predeceased her 1969.
She was a homemaker. Mrs. Milsop was a former member of St. Lukes Episcopal church, Paterson as well as a member of its Altar Guild and its Choir. During the early 1900s she played 1st base for the Little Falls Bloomers Girls Baseball team. She was a volunteer in the kitchen at The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Mrs. Milsop was an avid Bridge Player, Bowler and in a Sewing Circle for over 55 years.
She is survived by two daughters: Lois A. Camlet of Roseland, and Judith M. Roman of Newton, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:00 at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne.
Burial will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
