Obituary of Bernardino “Ben” Felice

BernardinoBen Felice, age 80, West Paterson died Saturday, January 6, 2001 at Lakeview Subacute Care Center in Wayne, NJ. Mr. Felice was born November 12, 1920 in Paterson, NJ and is married to the former Regina Carmela Masone. He served in the Army from 1943 to 1945 during World War II. During the war, he served under General Patton as a Staff Sergeant in the 456th AAA Battalion. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the EAME Service medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Felice was the owner and operator of Linwood Lumber, Paterson for over 30 years before retiring in 1982. In the 1960s he was Commissioner of the Paterson Board of Public Works. Mr. Felice was a member of the Italian Circle, the Franklin Pleasure Club, The Fidelians of America, and the Totowa Elks. In addition to his beloved wife Reggie, he is survived by two sons: Philip and his wife Virginia of Hewitt, NJ, Frank J. and his wife Laura of Haledon, NJ, one sister: Rose Vacca of Ellenton, FL, grandchildren, Traci, Dana, Stephanie, Michael and Christa; and a great grandson, Christopher. Calling hours will be Tuesday January 9, 2001 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday January 10, 2001 at 10:00 at St. John The Baptist Cathedral, Main And Grand Streets, Paterson where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Mark Giordani. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa.
