Obituary of Albert F. Kooistra

Albert F. Kooistra, age 88, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Chilton Medical Center, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Kooistra was born March 25, 1926 in Wayne, the son of the late Bert and the late Lillian Rose (Rueggeberg) Kooistra. He was a life-long resident of Wayne. Mr. Kooistra served in the US Army during World War II. He loved to fish, hunt, garden and raise animals. Mr. Kooistra is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Doris(Schenk) Kooistra; his three loving sons, Todd and his wife Bonnie, David and Richard; his devoted grandchildren Stefan and Jesse; his cherished great-grandchildren, Todd, Addie and Caelin; his dear sister Margaret Ann Boyle; and many nieces and a nephew. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. The funeral will be Monday November 24, 2014 at 10:30 am at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Rev. Michael McKay. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Memorial donations may be made to Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West, Wayne, NJ 07470.
