Obituary of Helen Cossari
Helen (Kaywork) Cossari, age 84, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Paterson. Mrs. Cossari was born December 2, 1929 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Edward and the late Mary (Hamway) Kaywork. She lived Paterson most of her life before moving to Totowa 5 years ago. Helen was employed by the Jean Shop on Union Ave in Paterson. Mrs. Cossari was a great cook. Her food was loved by all, and she, and her family always looked forward to Sunday dinner. She was a member of member of St. Gerard's RC Church; Deborah Hospital Foundation, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Wayne Elks 2181. Helen was also an avid Yankee fan.
Mrs. Cossari is survived by her beloved husband Salvatore (Sam) Cossari; her loving children Cathy and her fiancé Vinnie Fierro, Lenny and his late wife Teri, Cindy Blum (Ray Blum), and Mickey and his wife Lucy; Devoted grandmother Salvatore and Danielle Cossari, Raymond and Justin Blum, and Michael and Matthew Cossari; Dear sister of Alice West. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Dul and her brothers, Albert and George Kaywork.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
The funeral Mass will be Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson and will be celebrated by Msgr. Mark Giordani.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
