Obituary of John Roy Caponong

John Roy Caponong, age 73, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Chilton Medical Center, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Caponong was born April 22, 1941 in New York, the son of the late Juan and the late Esther (Roy) Caponong. He lived in Wayne. Mr. Caponong served in the Navy on the USS America during Vietnam War. He was employed by Digital Equipment Corp in Parsippany for 25 years as a computer engineer and then at ADP in Clifton. Mr. Caponong is survived by his beloved wife Virginia (Negrycz) Caponong; two loving sons, Scott Santora and Michael Jon Caponong; and two cherished granddaughters, Morgan and Gabrielle. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 6-9 p.m. The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
