Obituary of Rocco Brindisi

Rocco Brindisi, age 87, of Woodland Park passed into the arms of the Lord on November 10, 2014 after a short illness. He was a proud Marine Corp veteran. Rocco spent a career teaching history at Passaic County Technical and Vocational High School. He had an adventurous spirit and was an entrepreneur. He traveled the world with his family and beloved wife Grace. Among his accomplishments were owning a bed and breakfast in Point Pleasant Beach, Hawk Hill Vineyard in southern California and singing in local opera houses. Beloved father of Ellen Brookhart, Beth Feaster, Barbara Brindisi and Anthony Brindisi; Devoted grandfather of six and great-grandfather of five; Dear brother-in-law of Bert Hudak and Patricia Stumpp. Mr. Brindisi was predeceased by his wife Grace (Goretsky) in 2011; his son, Robert, and brother, Andrew Brindisi. Visiting will be on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 10:00 am to 1:00pm with a service at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
