Obituary of Charles J. Gattuso

Charles J. Gattuso, 52 of Passaic, NJ passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 with his family by his side. Beloved son of Barbara and the late Charles Gattuso. Charles had a Masters Degree in music and was a music and special needs teacher. He loved teaching and loved music and at one time, performed on the jazz guitar. His name is mentioned and he is in a group photo in the book "America's Music Jazz in Newark", A Comprehensive Jazz History of an American City by Barbara J. Kukla. He also had an extensive knowledge of jazz performers, collected jazz and other LP records, CDs and tapes, loved sports and had a great sense of humor. He is survived by his loving mother Barbara, his brother Philip and his sister-in-law Stephanie. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 1799 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne.
