Obituary of Catherine J. Raffo

Catherine J. " Kay" (Attan) Raffo, age 90, of Wayne, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mrs. Raffo was born December 8, 1923 in Manhattan, the daughter of the late Michael and the late Grace (Garibaldi) Attan. When she was young, she was a "spot-light girl" at the Academy Theater in New York and later a switch board operator for many years. Before retiring, Mrs. Raffo was a receptionist employed by the Anchor Bank on Valley Road in Wayne. Mrs. Raffo is survived by her beloved daughters Michele Raffo and Karen Bernhardt; her loving grandchildren Tara and Michael, her dear sister Diana D'Amico and nephew Robert D'Amico. She was predeceased by her brother Vincent Attanasio. Visiting hours will be Friday, October 24, 2014 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. the funeral home. Entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, 58 McLean Blvd, Paterson. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations in Mrs. Raffo's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
