When learning of Warren's passing on November 29, 2022, I was truly saddened. I offer my deepest condolences to the entire Ridgway family for their loss. I first met Warren in 1989 when he became a volunteer at the Black River and Western Railroad. Since that time, we both served together many times over the years in different crew positions on the various special event trains operated by the Black River. In fact, we both worked together recently on the Santa Express trains which operated on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Warren will be long remembered as a dedicated volunteer who helped make riding the Black River a very special day in the lives of many children and parents over the years..
