Obituary of Bernadette Dockray

Bernadette (Wells) Dockray age 75 died at home in South Carolina on Thursday September 22, 2022. Mrs. Dockray was born October 31, 1946 in Paterson, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Walter C.J. Wells and the late Genevieve (Dowling) Wells. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for more than 40 years before retiring in 2012. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting. She made blankets, sweaters, hats, scarves and baby blanket with sweater sets that she donated to many children's hospitals, cancer centers and churches.

 

She was predeceased by her husband Kermit Jr. (Ken) in 2008 and daughter Christina (Tina) in 2012. She is survived by her daughters Karyn and her husband Frank DiBerardino, Amy and her husband Jimmy Snyder, son Keith and his wife Lauren, step son Jeff and his wife Debra, step daughter Lisa and her husband William Dunn, siblings Jane and Rich Reardon, Walter Wells, Bonnie and Nelson Romaine, Bryan and Robin Wells, Timothy and Luba Wells, Jeffry and Barbara Wells, Cindy and Glenn Thomson, Laure and Casey Meyer, Roy and Nancy Wells, Chad and Kim Wells, and 14 nieces and nephews.

 

She is also survived by her grandchildren Erik, Sarah, Brian, Marissa, Dominick, James, Michael, Tyler and Jake and great-grandchildren Abigail, Addison, Willa, Easton, Chloe, Charlie and Amelia.

 

Visiting hours will be Wednesday September 28, 2022 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.

 

The funeral mass will be Thursday September 29, 2022 at 10am at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke. in Wayne. Please meet at the church. Interment will follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials in Bernadette's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
