Obituary of Ronald Cooperman

Ronald Allan Cooperman, was born in New York City on March 4, 1938, left us on the 5th of August 2022 at 3:00 am at the age of 84. The cause of death being a simple heart failure. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years Elaine and his two sons Scott and Glenn. A Wayne NJ resident for more than 50 years, Ron raised his family in Wayne's Pines Lake Community, where he was a longtime member of the sailing club. He also served as a US Naval Reservist for 36 years and was a commander in the NJ Naval Militia for over 20 years. In addition, he was a member of the Preakness Reformed Church, where he had the honor of serving one term as a church Deacon. Ron's civilian career was primarily in industrial advertising and was an account manager for some the most prestigious as in agencies in New York and New Jersey before starting his own firm. Ron also taught business and advertising at several of the area collages for many years, but most frequently at the Borough or Manhattan Community College where he became an adjunct professor and retire from in 2019. A true educator, Ron found great joy in working with young adults. His own education includes a BA and MBA for Baruch College on City University of NY. More recently in 2004, he earned his doctorate in International Business for Nova SE University. Ron will always be remembered as a decent, kind and respectable person, who was a good husband, father and friend. He was also an educator and a patriot. He will be missed dearly. A memorial service to celebrate Ron's life has been scheduled for Friday September 16, 2022, at 5:30 PM at the Preakness Reformed Church located at 131 Church Lane, Wayne NJ 07470.
