Obituary of Wilma O. Richardson

Wilma O. Richardson, age 84, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her home in Haledon, NJ. Mrs. Richardson was born May 15, 1938 in Germany, the daughter of the late Wilhelm Oltmanns and the late Meta (Dreyer). In the early 1950's, Wilma and her family moved to the United States. She met the late John Joseph Richardson and they married in 1956. They lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Stony Brook, NY. Mrs. Richardson lived in Wayne, NJ from 1978 to 2007, moving to Haledon after her husband's passing.

She held a variety of jobs including working as an assistant in an ophthalmologist's office and as an Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper for a variety of companies, including Magnetek and Azov Shipping. She enjoyed reading John Grisham and Nicholas Sparks novels and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son John, III and his wife Diane of Wayne, NJ, sisters Edith Dolberg and Meta Calavetinos, brother Helmut Jobs, and 2 grandchildren, Laura and John, IV.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 31 from 4-8 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Monday, August 1, 9:30 AM at the funeral home and at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Of The Valley R. C. Church, 620 Valley Rd., Wayne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated . Burial will be in Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
