To Rich, though we knew you briefly, your beautiful smile revealed such a warm heart. And we loved listening to your stories.
To your Family, we send our love and prayers as you work through such deep grief. We hope this candle reminds you that Rich's light shines all ways and is with you always.

My deepest condolences to the Borghoff family. He was a wonderful person. When I first started working at Volvo Borgie was my boss. He was a valuable person to learn from. He always showed me the right direction and always had my back. We became very close friends. We both served in the Navy and had plenty memories of those experiences. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful friend and person he was. You will be missed my friend. Rest In Peace.

What do I say about Rich (Borgie), my workmate for 20 plus years, my roommate between my 1st and 2nd marriage, my neighbor for 18 years and most of all my friend for 52 years.
We shared so many great times and memories over the years, our kids grew up together, many camping, fishing and ski trips. We partied all the time, drank and laughed and laughed and laughed all the time. What a fantastic sense of humor and hearty laugh he had.
We grew apart after we both got divorced, but still had many dinners with our Volvo friends at Peppercorn’s. Reminiscing and once again drinking and laughing the whole night.
Rest is peace Borgie, you were a true friend and will be missed.

I'm saddened to hear this news and will always remember Borgie's irreverent humor and bolstering laugh.
I'm saddened for all who loved him and were much closer to Rich than I. I hope those who attend his celebration of life reconnect in a lasting and meaningful way. God bless.
Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, And let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.

What can I even say…I am beyond lucky to have grown up in a neighborhood where other families became an extension of my own. Richie is definitely someone who I am lucky enough to have known and grown up with. His laugh will always be the most unforgettable thing about him. He was constantly making jokes which would absolutely embarrass Lauren but make everyone else laugh. My favorite memory will always be Richie picking me and Lauren up from a dance in his signature look, grey sweat shorts, a white t-shirt and slippers, and waving Lauren and me down saying “Girls over here!”. Needless to say we were mortified at the time while Richie just had a huge smile and I’m sure thought it was so funny how embarrassed we were. He had one big kind heart and his smile always reflected that. I will never forget him and always miss him!
