Obituary of Mary Lou Simchera

Mary Lou (Wester) Simchera, age 61, died Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack. Mrs. Simchera was born February 7, 1953 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late Robert and the late Lillian (McCroy) Wester. She lived in Hawthorne and was formerly of Waldwick. Mary Lou was a certified legal nurse employed by Alaris Health Systems in Jersey City for 14 years. Mary Lou is survived by her beloved husband Peter T. Simchera; her loving children Larisa and her husband David Perino, and Peter John and his wife Angela Simchera; a cherished grandson, Preston John Simchera; her brothers, Robert and Michael Wester, her sisters, Linda Palmisano and Susan Gennis; many nieces and nephews; her life-long dear friend, Kathryn Manza and her children and grandchildren; and her "boys", Casey Jones and Indiana Jones. She was predeceased by her brother James Wester and her sister Brenda Bromley. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 7-9 PM at Moore's Home for Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd, Wayne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or St. Joseph's Indian School, 1301 North Main St, Chamberlain, SD 57325 Mary Lou's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
