Obituary of Christine M. Stepnowski

Christine M. (Biesiada) Stepnowski, age 69, of Wayne, formerly of Toms River, died peacefully at home on Aug 31, 2014. She was raised in Parlin, graduating from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1963. After a busy life of working and raising three children, she decided to finally pursue her passions. At the age of 59, she became a certified massage therapist. Working in many settings, from spas to medical practices, she derived a great sense of satisfaction in helping others with her gentle, gifted touch. Her other passion was nature. hiking, birding, and gardening. She spent many hours volunteering at Rutgers Gardens in New Brunswick. That was her sanctuary. She especially loved volunteering during Children's Summer Exploration Camps and Fall Festivals. Christine was predeceased by her brother Richard in 1968, her father Joseph in 2010, and mother Ceceilia in 2013. Surviving are her children Arlene Mariconda and her husband Salvatore of Wayne, Eric Stepnowski and his wife Michele of Boynton Beach Florida, and Robert Stepnowski and his wife Luljeta of Jackson; and grandchildren Michael, Nicholas, and Aleksander. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 3-7 p.m. and the service at 5:30 p.m. at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd, Wayne.
