Obituary of Emma Lamendola

Emma (Ricci) Lamendola, age 87, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at Lakeview Sub Acute Care Center, Wayne. Mrs. Lamendola was born August 26, 1924 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Pasquale and the late Mary Ann (Tedeschi) Ricci. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of the Stony Road section of Paterson. Before retiring, she was employed by the Paterson Police Department as a School Crossing Guard. Mrs. Lamendola was a parishioner and a brownie leader at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Paterson. Also, at St. Anthony's school she was the head of the cafeteria for many years. Most recently, Mrs. Lamendola was a parishioner at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne. She is survived by her two daughters: Rose Mary and her husband Daniel Sang and Anne Marie and her husband Richard Wagner, a granddaughter, Jennifer and her husband Frank Menzel , a great-grandson, Conner and her feline, Figgy. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfonso Lamendola in 1999. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke.,Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Due to the Holy day- Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa on Thursday morning at 10AM.
