Obituary of Muriel L. Brown

Muriel L. Brown (Van Lenten) age 89 entered eternal rest on November 2, 2021. Muriel was born April 8, 1932 in Paterson the daughter of the late George Van Lenten and the late May Vreeland. She lived in Wayne for 31 years and was formally of Paterson, New Jersey.  Muriel was a devoted full time Mom and was damn good at it! Muriel loved reading, talk radio, shopping, music, Broadway shows and day trips to Atlantic City and Pennsylvania. She also was an excellent cook and enjoyed family gatherings.  Muriel loved family!

Muriel was the beloved wife of 47 years to the late Charles Brown, loving mother of Donna and Allen Brown, Karen and Nicholas Leenstra and Sharon Brown. Grandmother to Jessica and Adam Platt and Charles Leenstra.  Loving Great-Grandmother (GiGi) to Aubrey and Logan Platt.  Also beloved doggie grandma to Lyla and Maggie. She was predeceased by her brother George and sister Dolores.

At the request of the family, there will be no visitation and burial is private but prayers are welcomed.
