Obituary of Jane A. Salmanowitz

Jane A Salmanowitz (Vreeland), age 85, died Sunday October 31, 2021. Ms. Salmanowitz was born May 14, 1936, in Paterson, the daughter of the late Arthur Vreeland and the late Elizabeth (Barr) Vreeland. She lived in Pompton Lakes for 40 years and was formerly of Paterson, NJ. Ms. Salmanowitz worked for the postal service where she met Robert before turning her attention to being a full time mother and homemaker. Mrs. Salmanowitz was a Girls Scout Leader, soccer, softball and little league mom and an avid quilter. Mrs. Salmanowitz was the beloved wife of 53 years of the late Robert Salmanowitz; loving mother of Robert, Jr. (Jennifer) and the late Janie Kent (Jeff); and sisters-in-law Francis Salmanowitz, Marian Salmanowitz, Jacqueline Mangini and James (RuthAnn) Salmanowitz., grandmother to Catterina & Joseph, caring aunt of 36 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Carol Hunt, Arthea Gill, Elizabeth Koning, and MaryAnn Dowling. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5-8 PM. The memorial service will be Friday at 6:30 pm will be Celebrated by Fr. ST Sutton.
