Obituary of Barbara Josephine Fantozzi

Barbara Josephine (Delaney) Fantozzi, age 83, died at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. She was born in Paterson NJ on September 23, 1938, to the late Josephine and George A. Delaney. Barbara graduated from St John Cathedral High School, Paterson NJ in 1956. She lived in Wayne for 59 years. She worked for 25 years as a cafeteria worker for the Wayne Township Public Schools, retiring in 2000. Barbara was very active in her faith and a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Consolation RC Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pompton Falls Volunteer Fire Department Company # 3 of Wayne for 25 years. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed her summers at Ocean Beach and Wildwood. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Cosmo. She was the loving mother of six children : daughter Donna and husband Henri Bondy, daughter Diane Fantozzi, son Donald and wife Elisa, twin sons Jeffrey and Thomas and wife Debbie and the late Douglas.. Cherished grandmother of grandchildren Casey, Samantha, Jason, Kristen and husband Mike, Michael and wife Rachael, Sarah and husband Matt and great grandsons Jayson and Miles. She was predeceased by her grandson Donald, a sister Joan (Delaney) Barhorst and a brother George A. Delaney II. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne, NJ.
