Obituary of Dorothy N. Lombardo

Dorothy N. (Vita) Lombardo, age 93, in Wayne on Tuesday September 28, 2021. Mrs. Lombardo was born in Fair Lawn, NJ the daughter of the late Gaetano and the late Ruth (Ackerman) Vita. She lived in Totowa for most of her life. Dorothy was a former supervisor for NJ Bell in Paterson. She later provided in home private childcare and was also the office manager for Dr. Miller's dental practice in Pompton Lakes. She was well known for her great love of those around her and over the years provided loving care for many of her extended family. She is survived by her son Rev. Michael D. Lombardo, her daughter Ann and her husband Peter Stratos, and her granddaughter Melina and her husband Andrew Deptula. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Mickey Lombardo in 1986. Relatives and friends with masks are invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday October 4, 2021 from 3-7PM at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne. Funeral services will be private by request of the family. A public memorial mass will also be celebrated with a reception to follow at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, on Saturday October 9, 2021 at 9 AM for all to attend. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dorothy's memory to Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church.
