Obituary of Irene Janosz

Irene (Barkowski) Janosz, age 85, died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mrs. Janosz was born March 13, 1929 in Garfield, NJ the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Anna (Guz) Barkowski. She lived most of her life in Elmwood Park and the last fifteen years in Wayne. Irene was a graduate of Lodi High School. She was employed by the Elmwood Park Water Department and previously by its Board of Education. Irene was an avid reader and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of Our Lady Of the Valley RC Church, Wayne. She is survived by her son: David and his wife Diana; three grandchildren; David, Jr. and his wife Brande, Kevin and his wife Jill and Allison, five great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Emmitt, Logan, Maisie and Gavin. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert E. and a brother, Joseph Barkowski. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4-8 PM. The funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 9:00 am at Our Lady of The Valley R.C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne will be celebrated by Fr ST Sutton. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Memorials may be made to the Public Library of your choice.
