Obituary of Digna Mesa

Digna ''Mora'' (Bruguera) Mesa, age 88, died Sunday, July 25, 2021, at home in Pompton Lakes surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Mesa was born in Comayagua,Cuba the daughter of the late Severa and the late Rafaela (Manzano) Bruguera. Mora was employed by Styles Sportswear, Paterson as a seamstress before retiring. Mrs. Mesa was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes and was a former treasurer of the Hispanic Society there. She is survived by her daughter: Sunilda J. (Suny) and her husband Ed Sawey and son: Roberto (Bob) and his wife Marlene Mesa, 3 grandchildren, Edward, Jacqueline and Breanna and 5 great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Dominic, Giavanna, Donovan & Bridget. Mora was predeceased by her husband Andres in 2018. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 10:00 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes will be Celebrated by Fr. John Coughlin. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442-1890
