Obituary of Herminia Fernandez

Herminia (Dominguez) Fernandez, age 96, of Wayne, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021. Mrs. Fernandez lived a long, beautiful life. Herminia was born in Noval, Spain and lived in Africa and Argentina before moving to the US. She was a successful small business owner with many retail stores. She also was a pastry chef and caregiver to many. She loved taking care of people as well as animals. Even without a formal education, she was a wise woman and a lifelong learner. A woman with a sharp wit and a tremendous love of family. Mrs. Fernandez was a faithful member of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church. She is survived by her loving son Dr. Robert and his wife Eileen Fernand; beloved granddaughter, Monica Demmers and grandsons, Edward and Robert; and cherished great-granddaughters, Isabella and Alexandra. She was predeceased by her husband, Odilo and daughter, Begonia Fernandez. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, March 2, 2020 from 2-6 PM. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo.
