Dear Connie and family,
We send our deepest sympathy on the passing of your beloved husband, father and grandfather, Bobby. We remember his warmth and kindness, and how he used to look in on Gerda's mother Fanny when he was on the police force in Paterson. May your memories of happier times bring you comfort.
Love, Gerda and Ellen and David

Dear Connie and family,
We are so very sorry about Chief Bobby Mohl’s passing! He was my Captain. Although he was my Captain, he was also my friend through the New Jersey Honor Legion.
Bobby was a good leader and was fair with his men and women who served under him.
Bobby was also my neighbor who lived diagonally across from me in Paterson, the area known as the Hillcrest section! We watched his young daughters grow up to be beautiful ladies. His family meant so much to him.
He took excellent care of you Connie. I know it was very difficult for him to leave you! You were always his top priority!
May he Rest In Peace,
John and Sandy Serafin

Dear Connie and Family:
Please accept my most sincere condolences on Bob's passing. What a "cop", what a detective, what a leader and friend, and family man he was. Serving with Bob for many years with the PPD, I recall many case he had that were very difficult but he always managed to ensure a successful outcome. He was fair and honest and compassionate for victims as well as perpetrators.
He was a leader of men/women and always made himself available, never demeaning or dismissive and actually concerned for his subordinates' health and welfare and that of their families. He helped many along the way and you can all be very proud of the man he was. Bob will never be forgotten by those who worked along side of him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Dear Connie and Family; Please accept our condolences on Bob's passing.
I worked with Bob in Paterson in the 1960s and 1970s. I was told in the police academy, to find someone in the department to look up to and emulate. Bob was one of those I recognized as someone of character to look up to and follow his lead. I was proven right so many times. We both shared the love of life long learning and he graciously shared his knowledge that allowed me to mature and utilize the same ethics taught of compassion and fairness. Paterson came first, and we were community Cops before it was in vogue. Bob will remain one of the greatest memories I experienced as a Police officer. I have tried to pay his gifts forward by using the lessons and knowledge he shared with me to new recruits and college students taught over the years. Bob is already missed, and may his memory be a blessing. Frank Murphy, USSS Ret. Sarasota, FL.

Dear Connie and Family, Please accept our sincere condolences on Bob's passing. I served and worked with Bob as a Paterson Patrolman in the 1960s and 1970s.
Bob represented honor and integrity in his chosen profession. He was truly a cop's cop, a true professional and one of my greatest mentors. I was instructed in the academy to find someone in the department to look up to and emulate...and Bob was one of the few I respected. I was so very proud to have Bob as a mentor. We shared a love of a life long learning and he always shared his breadth of knowledge with the new younger officers. His sharing of lessons he had learned gave us the needed field training and street knowledge to mature into what beat cops used to be...community oriented with the people, our neighbors first... using common sense and compassion for our brothers and sisters. He truly was one of Paterson's brightest and finest...and he made a significant difference in our lives and in the Silk City. He will be surely missed. May his memory be a blessing to you all.
