Unexplainedly, I started thinking about Frances last week during the major snowstorm that hit Harrisburg, PA, which has been my home for over fifty years. As a child in the late 50's, I lived with my family in Montville, Nj, on a cul-de-sac (Viewmont Terrace) along River Road. If your Frances lived in Montville then, she was a friend of mine, both of us attending Central School, then graduating from Boonton High School in 1964. One of my best memories of Frances is that she and her mom organized a small group of Frances's friends, me included, to practice one day each week several weeks before Christmas at her house, singing Christmas carols. A couple of days before Christmas, our little troupe went through some small neighborhoods along River Road, in the evening, stopping at several houses to sing Carols. Some people came out of their homes to listen, then offered us a Christmas cookie, or a cup of hot chocolate. Heaven! I think we did that two years in a row, though it could have been only one, and it is one of my favorite childhood memories. We would practice after school, which was so much fun, not only because we all were in the Christmas spirit, but also because we looked forward to the home baked treat and glass of soda Frances's mom had prepared for us as a sweet treat rewarding us for our good practice session. Frances was a sweet girl, a good friend, and always someone with a beautiful smile (I seem to remember that she had dimples.). I don't know what made me think of her so recently. I haven't seen her in over fifty years. I am so sorry for your loss. My plan when trying to find her on the internet (about which I wasn't very hopeful because it's very hard to find women whose names have changed with marriage) was to send her a note, thanking her for making the Christmas season when we were kids extra special with our caroling adventure. I am sure she remained a wonderful, warm, and loving person. I know that her loss makes this world a lonelier place. May you find comfort in the legacy of her love and the memories you all have, which will keep her in your hearts forever. Sincerely, Naomi ( Van Orden) Duprat.

We met Franny 4 years ago at Brick 46. We gravitated to Franny so quickly. It was her fun sense of humor, here sweet nature and her love of life. We made it a point to visit Franny one time a week and sometimes 2 times a week. It was our highlight of the week. We would bring our beagle Sadie and Franny would light up and smile when we brought her. Franny loved her dogs. Franny would always say I wish I could rescue all the dogs in the shelter. If she could she would. Franny was a second mom to Marc and I. She was a great listener and gave us great advice. Marc and Franny would go back and forth with jokes all the time. We would always order desserts and Franny would bring the dessert tray out and marc would poke at the cakes. Franny would laugh and say stop that you going to get me into trouble. Franny we love. We are heart broken that you are no longer here with us. Thank you for your friendship, motherly advice and love that you have given us. You will be missed more than words can say. Love Marc and Dawn

Dear family... I am saddened to say goodbye to Fran. She now walks the street of gold in Paradise where there is no pain or suffering, and knows all the answers. I loved the way she would sing harmony during Liturgy, from the choir loft. My sincere condolences. Eternal Memory. Vichnaya Pamyat. Dianne DeAngelis
