Obituary of Francis G. Van Leeuwen

Francis G. ''Frank'' Van Leeuwen, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. Mr. Van Leeuwen was born in Paterson, the son of the late Johannes and the late Petronella (Maas) Van Leeuwen. He lived in Little Falls. As a young man he played football and basketball, attended Manchester Regional High School in Haledon and later graduated from William Paterson College in Wayne. He was a self-employed CPA and the longtime CFO for Hanson & Ryan Insurance Company in Totowa, retiring in 2019. Frank was an avid golfer and longtime NY Mets fan. Mr. Van Leeuwen is survived by his beloved children Kristen and her husband Paul Crouchelli, and Craig and his wife Linda, and their mom Elizabeth "Dee" Van Leeuwen; his cherished granddaughters, Julia Van Leeuwen and Addisyn Crouchelli; loving sisters Marie Ryan, Mieke Maslanek, and brothers John and his wife Teri, and Richard "Dutch" and his wife Joanne; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Mandie. Visiting hours will be Monday, November 16, 2020 from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends are welcome to attend the funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne which will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Interment will follow in Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
