Obituary of William A. Kneringer, Jr.
William Anthony Kneringer (also known as Bill) entered into eternal rest on October 19, 2020.
Beloved son of William and Helen Kneringer, Bill was born and raised in Elwood Park. He proudly served in the United States Army. Bill worked and drove for Wonder Bread and MGM Transport. He was married to Alice (Marakowitz) in 1956 for over 40 years before she passed in 1998. Together they had 4 children. Residing, for over 60 years, in Wayne. Bill was very active in the community, Den Leader in Scouts; a member of the Golden Age Circle of Wayne; American Legion Post #242 in Pompton Plains; VFW Post #1931 in Wayne; and B.P.O. Elks Club #2181 in Wayne. Family and faith were of great importance. He was a founding member of Our Lady of Consolation RC Church in Wayne. He was a kind and outgoing person who loved spending time with family and friends. Bill enjoyed life and was always there to brighten the lives of others. There was nothing he liked better than sharing stories and he could engage conversation with anyone. He loved to help make people laugh and smile. He will be missed but not forgotten.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons William, Robert and his wife Mary-Jean, Charles and his wife Roseann, and his daughter Mitzy and her husband Todd Vanderwekke. Bill was blessed with four amazing grandchildren: Nicholas, Meghan, Danielle and Jazmine. He will be lovingly remembered by his longtime lady friend, Lois Acker; his extended family, friends and the many special people from Siena Village; and all who have touched his life and played such an important part in it.
Due to the current Covid Pandemic, funeral services will be private.
