Obituary of John A. Zaccaro, Jr.

John A. Zaccaro, Jr., age 47, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020. He was born in Pequannock and lived in Pompton Lakes. John's greatest attribute wasn't the fact that he never met a stranger, that he was a hard worker or that he was an incredibly dedicated friend – he was all of those things – but, he may be most remembered for his ability to fiercely love those who loved him. John was incredibly devoted to Snezana, who was the love of his life for eighteen years, and eventually her whole extended family, treating them as his own. And while it seemed impossible, John's ability to love was multiplied almost two years ago at the birth of his daughter Mila. John had a perpetual smile on his face looking at her and felt pride at every milestone. She was truly the light of his life. He was preceded by the deaths of his mother, Lucille DePalma, and father, John Zaccaro, Sr. and the late John Vito Zaccaro. John leaves behind his only brother Brian, his wife Christine and his nieces, as well as Julie DePalma, Sherry Cohen and several other members of his extended family. In addition, he leaves behind several friends who have always been an extremely important part of his life. The visiting will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at 2:30PM at Laurel Grove Cemetery: 295 Totowa Rd., Totowa, NJ 07512.
