Obituary of Joyce Vassilatos

Joyce Vassilatos, age 57, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020. She was born in Jersey City and lived in Secaucus. Joyce was a strong woman who conquered all obstacles put in front of her. Anyone could say that Joyce was one to do things her way. She battled and overcame her fight with cancer in 2015. Joyce loved to travel especially to Greece and the Virgin Islands. When she wasn't traveling, she was out to eat at one of her favorite restaurants or in her own home cooking meals for family and friends. She enjoyed time with her family and her two grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Joyce is survived by her beloved son Antonio; her cherished grandchildren Julianna and Ryder; her dear siblings Teddy, Barbara, Peter, Rachel, Maureen, Richard, Denise, Alexis, Crystal, Dior, and Christopher; and loving friend Milos Lazovik She was predeceased by her father Peter Vassilatos and mother Theresa (Piazza) Vassilatos; her husband Curtis Dogan; and her granddaughter Adrianna Vassilatos. Friends are welcome to attend the visiting hours on Friday September 25, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
