Obituary of Annemarie Loewrigkeit
Annemarie (Kirsten) Loewrigkeit, age 102, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at home in Wayne. Mrs. Loewrigkeit was born September 13, 1911 in Flensburg, Germany, the daughter of the late Hugo and the late Auguste (Bock) Kirsten. She retired in 1966 from Owens Illinois where she was a secretary for 25 years. Mrs. Loewrigkeit was an aerobics instructor at the Wayne Senior Follies at Sisco Village for 12 years. She was a member of the Golden Age of Wayne and a volunteer at Wayne General Hospital. Mrs. Loewrigkeit was in the choir for both the Pompton Plains Reformed Church and the Dutch Reformed Church in Wayne.
Mrs. Loewrigkeit is survived by her beloved daughter, Ute and her husband Michael Madonna; and her loving sons, Peter and his wife Alice Jane, Volker and his wife Suzanne and Dieter and his wife Donna Loewrigkeit; and 10 cherished grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Werner Loewrigkeit and her grandson, Robert Loewrigkeit.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 7-9 p.m.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 8:00 pm by Rev. David Klompien.
