Obituary of Marion Margaret Cannella

Marion Margaret (Kamper) Cannella, 80, of Wayne, passed away on Monday August 25, 2020. Marion was born in Paterson, NJ, on January 27, 1940 and spent most of her life in Wayne before retiring to Cape Coral & Punta Gorda, FL and then returning once again to her family and friends back in Wayne. Marion was a Medical Transcriptionist for Saul Meyers Medical Associates and then for St Joseph's Hospital Paterson. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband John; her parents, Peter and Marion Kamper; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph & Doris Cannella; and by her nephew Peter J. Kamper, Jr. She is survived by her adoring children, John David and Marianne (Cannella) Murphy; her sister, Beverly (Kamper) Hill; and her brothers and sisters in law', Kenneth & Robin Kamper, Dennis & Ann Kamper & Peter Jay & Wendy Kamper. She also leaves behind her grandchildren who were the core of her heart, Ashley Anne Miceli & Nicholas Miceli; and her many nieces and nephews: Desiree, Nadine, Kimberly, Jennifer, Andrew, Heather, Michael, Karen, Joanne, David & Lisa. Marion was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and had a smile and hug for everyone. She loved her children and grandchildren immensely and was one of those mom's (Grammy's) that no matter what was happening she was on your side; irrevocably. She picked you up, kissed your hurts, dusted you off and sent you back on your way to try again. She was an avid reader, loved watching who-done-its, 70s/80s classic TV shows, darting off to whatever country music concerts were close enough and just simply being with her whole family. Visiting hours will be Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Entombment will follow immediately after at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa.
