What a beautiful and interesting couple. That’s me behind them at the Sunnyridge picnic. It was always a joy to see how close and happy they were .

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of your death...we had just had a little catch-up session a week earlier. I will miss hearing that wonderful husky voice of yours...I believe you are happily reunited with "the love of your life".

My neighbors On ledge Road, Carolyn and Don always had a smile and a kind word. Insisted that my kids see them for Girl Scout cookies, Boy Scout popcorn; whatever the latest fundraiser was for during their school days. Always remembered me by name and asked how the family, especially the kids were as I saw them in more recent years. They made Sunnyridge, Sunnyridge- broaching the older generation with my generation (Michael and I bought his Grandparents house - 29 Ledge in 1993). I was shocked at Don’s passing in March - the 2 of them were timeless. So sad... both Carolyn and Don are missed. Please Rest In Peace. We will remember you fondly. As for their family, sorry we never met you but your parents were the sweetest and coolest couple in the neighborhood. So sorry for your loss.

Carolyn and Don were our neighbors for as many years as we have lived here, over thirty, I believe. We were always friendly with each other, especially summers when we could all meet up at our beach picnics! Both Carolyn and Don were such warm and caring people. I know Carolyn missed her Don, it was what she regularly told me in recent conversations. It was the strongest of beacons radiating from her heart. They will be both missed. And remembered with love.

We were saddened to hear of Carolyn’s passing. She always was kind and asked how everyone was doing, and had a good word of encouragement to say. She was heartbroken after the loss of her beloved Don, and has now joined him. Our sincere condolences to her family.

I will truly miss her beautiful smile and kind words about the music each and every Sunday. She also always made lovely little treats for us to sell at the bake table at Autumnfest. She was heartbroken to say goodbye to her beloved Don. May God hold them both in His Everlasting Arms. Grace & Peace, Patti Kitchell

I'll miss Carolyn very much we became very close after I became her Elder and handled P-S for Pompton Reformed Church.
She and I exchanged E-Mails, phone calls and personal visits. I pray that wonderful memories of times spend together will
give you peace and comfort. May God's strength and love surround all of you in the days ahead.

I am so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. She was a very good friend of mine. My friend and I came to Don's wake and Carolyn introduced us to her wonderful family. Carolyn was very proud of her family and missed Don very much. I am sure she is very happy that she is reunited with her Don. Of course we will miss both of them very much! Jo-Ann Sisco

So sorry for your loss! Carolyn was such a wonderful caring person. I would receive cards from her during my surgeries and at first I didn't realize they were from her. She would always brighten each Sunday caring for others. She will be terrible missed but know how happy she must be reunited with her wonderful Don who she missed so.
