Obituary of Filomena Proscia

Filomena ''Fanny'' (Lucarelli) Proscia, age 98, died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mrs. Proscia was born June 9, 1916 in New York, NY the daughter of the late Giusseppi and the late Anna (Lamendolara) Lucarelli. She lived in Lions Head Lake, Wayne since 1964. She was employed by Mundi Corporation in Pinebrook, NJ as a Packager before retiring. Fanny was devoted to her grandchildren. She put on elaborate puppet shows and circus themed parties for them. She also was avid reader and gardener and loved to sew and do arts & crafts. She is survived by her children; Frank and his wife Cathy Proscia and Joseph Proscia, her grandchildren: Frank and Michele and a great grandson, Ethan. She was predeceased by her husband Michael, her brother, Mario J. Lucarelli and sisters: Faustina & Pauline. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
