Obituary of Eva Nora Hogan
Eva Nora (Hill) Hogan, age 90, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Spring Arbor of the Outer Banks.. Mrs. Hogan was born August 1, 1923 in South Williamsport, PA the daughter of the late Roland Ray and the late Violetta May (Haserick) Hill. She lived in Kill Devil Hills,NC and was formerly of Hawthorne & Waldwick, NJ. She was as a public school teacher in Waldwick before retiring. Mrs. Hogan was a member of the Mighty Wind United Methodist Church and past president of the Elks Auxiliary #1569. She had a passion for traveling the world.
Eva is survived by her children ; Nora Ann Lee, Iris Jane Enberg and George Ray Ackerman, a sister: Rae Louise Volliger, two step-sons, Herbert and Roy Hogan, 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband, George Parkinson Ackerman and 2nd Husband, Clarence Ensign Hogan, a daughter, Phyllis Arlene Ackerman, a step-daughter, Faith Dougherty, a step-son, Stanley Hogan and three sisters, Pauline Day, Mary Estelle Newkirk, Violette Mae Hill.
Visiting hours will be Friday from 4-9PM.
A graveside service will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa and celebrated by Rev. Patrick Sileo. Interment will follow.
