Obituary of Frank Chester Pantalone

Frank Chester Pantalone was born in Paterson on February 27, 1935 to first generation Italian American parents Chester Pantalone and Assunta "Susie" Tamburro. He passed on March 4, 2020 at the age of 85. Frank grew up on Grant Street in Paterson, and often told stories of the fond memories he had growing up there with family and friends. On November 16, 1963 he married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Collins. Frank loved and cared for his wife until her passing in 2016 in their dream home that he built in Towaco. He missed her dearly and shared with his family of their love story and all their favorite moments together. Together they adopted and raised their two daughters, Kimberly A. and her husband George Mickel, and Tammy M. Pantalone. Frank and Barbara have six grandchildren who they adored and loved very deeply: Alexandria and her husband Dustin Smith, George Mickel, Nicolette Mickel, Christopher Mickel, the late Jonathan Mickel, Frank Mondello; and two great-grandchildren Valentina and Felicity Smith. Frank was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 253 for 56 years. He was a skilled craftsman and loved his trade. He loved his Yankees and Giants, but his grandchildren would sometimes get him to root for their teams. He loved to sing, and we all loved to listen to him belt out the words to his favorites. He forever had endless facts about anything and everything. He enjoyed doing brain teasers and the daily crossword. Frank always had a joke to tell and would sit for hours telling you "just one more". He always had love and a smile to share. You will be forever missed, and we will remember you with love in our hearts. Thank you for being a wonderful son to your parents, a great husband to your wife, a loving father to your children, an adoring grandfather to your grandchildren and great grandchildren. We love you! All are welcome to attend the visiting on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home with a service at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo, followed by the interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/donate
