Obituary of Frances Helen Kamer

Frances (Waltz) Kamer, age 89, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Mrs. Kamer was born in Paterson, the daughter of the late Karl J. and the late Grace (Kooistra) Waltz. She moved to Wayne in 1959. Frances was employed by the Manhattan Shirt Co. where she met her future husband Karl. She also worked at Hoffman LaRoche and was a bookkeeper for Pompton Sport Land. Before retiring, Mrs. Kamer was a corporate cashier employed by GAF Materials Corp in Wayne. She had a great love of her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Kamer was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and belonged to the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Kamer is survived by her beloved children Denise and her husband Kim Pugsley, and Karl J. Kamer, III; her devoted grandchildren, Nicholas, Jess, Chad and his wife Melissa; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Madison, Tyler, Emma and Luke. She was predeceased by her husband, Karl J. Kamer in 2014 Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, February 19, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and the funeral on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 400 Ramapo Ave, Pompton Lakes which will be celebrated by Rev. Stephen Rozzelle. Interment will follow in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Memorial donations in Mrs. Kamer's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. www.stjude.org
