Ken and I are so sorry that Rose is no longer with us, but she will always remain alive in our hearts forever. The legendary Labor Day pasta parties make us smile to this day. Mom received incredible care from her live-in caregiver Emilia. LifeSource Hospice and their entire staff provided gentle and loving care. There are not enough words to thank Angela Marsh for everything she did for my Mom, Dad and family during this difficult time. Karen

I didn’t want to cry, but found myself on the long bus ride to work, crying. She gave me everything, she was my saint. I’m happy her suffering is done here on Earth and now I can pray to her as my saint in heaven. I know she will always understand and be there for me. As Rose’s son-in-law I am fortunate to have many many memories of her. Here is one of my favorites which has become a classic within the family which I will share with you. It was on the first Christmas night that I spent with the family the year that Karen and I first met. During the evening of the Xmas get together Rose asked someone “Aren’t you going to fix him a plate?” (I will give you a hint that I am married to the person who that question was posed to) the individual mentioned responded “He can fix his own plate”. Upon hearing that reply Rose immediately stopped what she was doing and fixed me a plate that was full to overflowing. I knew then that my mother in law had my back and would always ensure that I was well fed and well taken care of. As you can see by my current stature and physique she may have succeeded too well. This coming spring plant a rose bush so that she will live on in our hearts and minds each and every time we see them. Here is to a very special lady that touched my and many lives in so so many ways...

A happy memory I have of Rose is when we had a family dinner at Erin and Chuck's, and we finished the evening playing a game of Left-Right-Center. We all had so much fun! What a competitor! : - ) Rose sure did love to play and even more, she loved to win!
