Obituary of Charles Braunlich

Charles Braunlich, age 70, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Mr. Braunlich was born June 12, 1944 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Charles and the late Catherine (McKeown) Braunlich. He lived in Oakland. He served in the US Army from 1962 to 1968. Mr. Braunlich retired as a lieutenant from the NJ State Police in September, 1991 after 25 years of service. While he was a trooper, he worked as head of fingerprint and expungement unit as well as in the undercover narcotics unit. After his retirement, he worked for 10 years in security for CNBC, in Englewood Cliffs. Mr. Braunlich was a member of the association of former NJ State Troopers. He is survived by his wife: Patricia (Fitzsimmons) Braunlich; his brother in law and sister in law; Randy and Eileen Reid, three cousins; Jean Trommelen, Marie Carroll and Joseph Higgins and many loving great nieces and nephews and cousins. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:30 am will be celebrated by Fr. Edward Lambro.
