Stanley & I have matured together from Hawkins Street School to East Side
High School to induction in the military. He excelled in algebra/mathematics,
majoring in Mechanical Drawing. Bus fare to East Side was raised to five cents each way. We solved the problem! I bicycled to his house and peddled to school parked bicycle @ his aunt's house. Stan peddled home taking the Ferry Street route. Years later I told him I peddled Up-Hill and Ferry Street was Down-Hill.Stan smiled, "Yes, I know" Together we signed our military obligation inNewark. Stan( Marines) Ted (Navy). Going to Monmouth racetrack we stopped @ same Hot Dog stand @ used same seats he & his father used. Stan regularly attended Stella Kaminski Race for 17 years. In June he was in good spirits. We were seated in a group of five exchanging military stories.
Ed Coyle and I visited him for years to take him out for dining adventures.
