Obituary of Virginia P. Saxon

Virginia P. Saxon, age 89, died Friday, June 13, 2014 at home in Union. Mrs. Saxon was born September 18, 1924 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late George and the late Virginia (Green) Talbot. She lived in Union and was formerly of Manchester and Paterson. Mrs. Saxon was the co-owner of Saxons Tavern, Paterson and later was employed by School # 25 in Paterson as a lunch aide before retiring. Virginia was an avid Mets fan and lovingly knit and crocheted over 300 blankets that she gave away. She is survived by her four sons: Hank Saxon, William and his wife Karen, George Saxon & Clark and his wife Debora, seven grandchildren; Kara, Kristi, Justin, Jeffrey, William, Brandon & Jessica and four great-grandchildren, Ella, Matthew, Harrison & Will. She was predeceased by her husband, William A. in 2010. Visiting hours will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 am will be celebrated by Fr. Stephen Rozzelle.
